ISMRE2 & Liquid Desiccants – Managing, Measuring & Maximizing Humidity Control for High-Performing Buildings This course provides engineers and HVAC professionals with a practical and historical framework for understanding humidity management in modern building design. Participants will explore how humidity control strategies have evolved, the driving forces behind today’s best practices, and the regulatory landscape surrounding ISMRE2. Attendees will gain insight into how ISMRE2 requirements impact system design and performance, particularly in Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS). The session will highlight design approaches that optimize equipment performance and demonstrate how decoupled system designs can further enhance ISMRE2 outcomes—improving both energy efficiency and humidity control in high-performing buildings.
